Walter Hoskins is a supporting protagonist in the No More Smiling series. He is portrayed by Ryan Grier. Walter was a member of the Anti-Happiness Commission, and was partnered with Adrian Romeli. After a meeting with their commander, Andrew Butler, Romeli trained Walter with a shockgun. The next day, Romeli deserted the commission and went missing for several weeks.
After receiving an anonymous tip, Walter and Butler discovered Romeli's location. They tracked him and his friend Damien as they tried hiijacking a national broadcast. Walter fought Romeli, who beat him and went after Butler. After Damien was stabbed and Romeli was stunned, Walter confronted Butler over his actions - allowing Romeli to grab a gun a kill Butler. After Damien died, Walter made amends with Romeli and promised to bury his friend. Romeli departed and fulfilled their goal of broadcasting a message. As Walter listened to the message over the radio, he smiled.
